Commitment

In our society, it is common to make significant life-altering decisions without fully considering the consequences. This tendency often leads us to make choices for which we are not mentally prepared, resulting in a lifestyle that we try to conceal rather than change.

Becoming a committed individual requires more than just the desire for commitment – it necessitates a committed mindset. To overcome a cheating mentality, one must be willing to confront and transform an unfaithful mindset. Otherwise, failure is inevitable, and one's true character will eventually be revealed. Authentic change begins within the mind.

Merely relying on emotions is insufficient for sustaining commitment. Emotionally-driven individuals often struggle with commitment because they allow their feelings to dictate their actions. Emotions are volatile and can lead individuals astray. True commitment transcends fleeting emotions. For instance, commitment to fitness requires going to the gym regardless of how one feels that day. Similarly, commitment to a valued relationship involves staying devoted even when the other person causes frustration. Parenthood demands commitment beyond the ephemeral joys of raising children. Emotionally-driven individuals prioritize momentary highs over fulfilling responsibilities and obligations to others, gravitating towards unstable and manipulative environments.

One's perspective on commitment can either facilitate or hinder their ability to commit. Some view commitment as a form of confinement, preferring to be imprisoned by their emotions rather than commit to external entities such as relationships, parenthood, work, or faith. Conversely, others may find commitment more manageable when it involves only themselves.
